The person behind the name
Four decades in yarn and fabric exports, and a voice for the Indian cotton textile trade at national level.
Manoj Patodia
Manoj Patodia grew up in Calcutta before moving to Mumbai to complete his education. As the eldest son, he stepped straight into the family business. There was no apprenticeship elsewhere, no years spent waiting for the handover. He learned the business by being in it.
Four decades on, he still divides his time between the factory floor and his customers. His career has tracked the industry’s evolution firsthand, from the move beyond pure cotton into polyester and blends to the transformation of India’s role in global textile trade. Along the way, he has developed products, adopted new technologies and built a depth of experience across the business.
Today, that experience extends beyond the company. He has led numerous renowned industry bodies and is also a Director of Prime Urban Development Ltd.

Thought leadership across five national and regional bodies spanning textile exports, industry policy and MSMEs.
Past President of the Rotary Club of Bombay, the largest Rotary club in Asia with over 300 members. Presenting the Citizen of Mumbai Award to Mrs. Nita Mukesh Ambani.
